Nancy received her angel wings on September 20th, 2018 after a 10 month battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born in Phoenix on December 27, 1954. She was a lover of life, family, and hiking. She never let anything keep her spirit down. She lived life to the fullest and woke up every morning with a smile. She lived with her husband in Apache Junction on their beloved 2 acre ranch where they raised their daughters and lived in a house they built.

For over 25 years, they traveled the southwest with their daughters selling their handmade western art. She was proud to be an Arizona native and loved the desert. She loved playing and spending time with her grandsons. She was an inspiration and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Monte Zavatta; her four daughters: Athena Peterson (Anthony), Sasha Aliberti (Tanner), Anya Alford (Grey) and Sancia Zavatta; and her adored grandsons Taten Peterson and Silver Alford. Nancy was the youngest of 5 children, she was preceded in death by her sister Brenda von Grabill and followed in death by her oldest brother Stanton von Grabill. She is survived by her brothers Stephen von Grabill and Charles von Grabill.
